Crystal Reports is a best-of-breed reporting tool that allows trained end users to design and run simple to moderate reports. Highly complex reports can be created in Crystal by a software developer with advanced training in Crystal.

Implementation Assistance:

If you already own a copy of Crystal Reports Professional (or Developer) version 10 or higher, you can use it with Fitrix. Fourth Generation Software offers a complete range of services for implementing Crystal Reports for use with Fitrix. Fitrix Crystal Reports Library:

Fitrix supplies a library of Crystal reports on an as-is basis that you can download and use or modify. To access the Fitrix Crystal reports library, use a browser to navigate to our ftp site: ftp://fourthgeneration.com/crystal_rpt_lib

at the ‘User Name’ prompt, key in: fg_cust

at the ‘Password’ prompt, key in: fourth9

click ‘Log On”

Fitrix User Views:

The easiest and safest way to create a Crystal report is by accessing a “User View” rather than directly accessing the Fitrix tables. User Views give you live access to your Fitrix database but shield you from the hundreds of Fitrix tables that are not needed for your report, take care of table join relationships for you, and present the columns with easy to read names. If you are creating a new Crystal Report and can’t find a User View that contains all of the data for your report, send us a list of the information you want to access and we will create a new User View or expand and existing one for you. This is a free service to all Fitrix maintenance customers.
