In the event an item is not available for sale this feature lets the user set up alternate or substitute items that can be sold in its place
In sales order entry after the item and quantity are entered and the item is not available this back-order screen displays.
To view the alternate or substitute items that can be sold in its place click on the Alternate Items button.
Check the Include box for the item you want to substitute and the original item on the sales order will be replaced with this alternate item.
